Ted – Trending TV Series in the First Half of 2024!
Streaming on Jiocinema, this prequel series to the Ted movies became a smashing hit during its release. It is now a part of pop culture due to its quirky scenes and memorable quotes. The show is about the infamous foul-mouthed teddy bear and his best friend during their young age.
Ted worked mainly because of the advanced technology combined with some solid acting. Seth MacFarlane’s voice acting as Ted, the teddy bear, was incredible. If you don’t know it already, he is also the creator of the series and director of the movies. And the emotional beats amidst all that comedy made it even more special!
Alongside Seth, Max Burkholder, Giorgia Whigham, Alanna Ubach, Scott Grimes, and Marissa Shankar delivered solid performances, making it a trending TV series.

Fallout (2024)
Released in early 2024, Fallout is a dystopian series set in an alternate timeline and some hundred years from the present. It starts with the drop of a nuclear bomb after showing a kid’s birthday party. How cruel!
In the future, people live underground to protect themselves from radiation, heat, raiders, and whatever’s on the surface. After an attack on their bunker, a young girl ventures outside to rescue her abducted dad. Her journey above and the characters she meets on the way form the rest of the story.
Though Ella Purnells headlines the series, Walton Goggins was the one who stole the show. He played an immortal zombie, a loving father, a successful superstar, and a loving husband all within the same show and that too with much charisma.
You might take some time to get into the series because of the alternate timeline and non-linear storytelling. It is an adaptation of a famous game series of the same name. If you have played it, understanding the series might be easy. But don’t worry if you haven’t. You can figure things out after the initial setup.
So, if you are a fan of the dystopian genre or played the game, Fallout is a must-watch show for you.
Them: The Scare (2024)
It is the second season of the 2021 series Them (also streaming on Prime Video). Them: The Scare follows the stories of a detective who investigates a series of unnatural deaths. It gets more personal for her as the investigation goes and she discovers some unsettling truths.
Created by Little Marvin, it also has an intense social commentary on how African Americans are treated in the USA, similar to the first season. The use of horror elements accentuates the tension further.
Since it talks about racism with intensity, the character of Detective Ronald McKinney grabs the focus and makes the viewers crawl under their skin every time it appears on-screen. It is played incredibly by Jeremy Bobb.
Coming to the star of the series, Deborah Ayorinde, who alongside Luke James, shoulders the series. Her performance in this season is more visible, thanks to the character sketch.
Now, you may doubt whether or not you need to watch season 1 before watching this season. If you have time, watch season 1 first, followed by season 2. If not, you can watch this season directly and still experience the impact of it.
Poacher (2024)
Easily one of the best Indian series to come out in 2024. It can be called pan-Indian. Its language is Malayalam. But have equal shares of Hindi and Bengali. Also, the plot spans across the country.
This series deals with the investigation of elephant poaching in Kerala. Led by the stellar trio of Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Richie Mehta has directed it, whom you might have known as the director of Delhi Crime. Yes, the one famous through Netflix series suggestions.
Nimisha delivers an incredible performance, a routine for her. Roshan does solid work. Dibyendu Bhattacharya gives an energetic performance portraying a senior official who suffers in silence. Hopefully, it brings him more fans from around the country.
Though he hasn’t topped Delhi Crime season 1, Poacher is the next best Richie Mehta creation.
